– On April 27, 2019 Cambodians in South Norway celebrated Khmer New Year Party to show their culture and tradition at Vennesla Hall. There are about 300 people join the party.
Nath Mèn, Leader for Khmer Buddhist Society said he appreciated teamwork, youth group and the board members of the Cambodian Association Norway who have cooperated well to promote Khmer culture and tradition in Norway.
“Two weeks ago we celebrated New Year Ceremony like Cambodian people did”, said Nath Mèn. “We did it on April 13-15 April at Khmer Buddhist Center in Lillesand”. (Nath Mèn speech here in Khmer & Norwegian: Download)
The New Year Party has performed traditional classic dances, New Year Games and folk dances.
Pann Puth, Leader for Khmer Association said “I would like to thank everyone for supporting and cooperating the party in this evening”. “Thank you to dancing teamwork and parents who send the children to lean and train the our traditional dances, he said.
